My name is James Schmidt. I
currently live in Becker, MN with my wife Megan, my two daughter’s Jordyn and
Madilyn, my dog JR and my cat Tinker Bell. My wife Megan and I have been
married since 2010. My oldest daughter Jordyn
is 5 ½ years old and my youngest daughter Madilyn is 1 ½ years old. I love my 3 girls more than anything in this world. My dog JR
is happy 6 years old black lab and my cat Tinker Bell likes to hunt. I
graduated from St Cloud State University in May of 2012 with a teaching degree. I have volunteered as a basketball coach in
the St Cloud area since 2010 and it’s a lot of fun helping kid reach their
goals. In December of 2017 I accepted a position to be a Home Comfort Advisor
for Lyon Sheet Metal & Heating in Sauk Rapids, MN. There are many different
factors why I choose this position as my new career.
The first factor is the
company Lyon Sheet Metal & Heating. I’m very thankful Lyon Sheet Metal &
Heating took a chance on me because I’m very new to HVAC but I’m very motivated
and driven to gain the knowledge and educated homeowners about our company, the
product and helping each home owner solve their HVAC problems. Lyon Sheet Metal & Heating is a locally own
and operated business in Sauk Rapids, MN and they are committed to delivering
the best home comfort solution to every one of their customers for over 35
years. Lyon Sheet Metal & Heating is the 2nd longest one brand
HVAC in the St Cloud/Sauk Rapids Area. I
love the family atmosphere of our company and it’s great to work for a company
that has employees that are happy and take pride in their work.
The second factor is I’m
still able to teach and educated. Every
time I make an appointment with new customers or returning customers I’m excited
to sit down at the kitchen table with the homeowner and help them learn more
about Lyon Sheet Metal & Heating, the different high efficiency furnaces, air
conditioners, and heat pumps that we offer, how I can improve their indoor air
quality and how great our team is.
The third factor is I really
enjoy helping people. There are many
different reason why a homeowner may need a Home Comfort Advisor. The first reason the homeowner’s Furnace or AC
unit is broken, and they need it replaced. The second reason the homeowners
would like to improve the efficiency of their Furnace or AC. The third reason
is many the homeowner or maybe their children needs improvement in the air quality
in their home. The forth reason maybe the homeowner wants to be more comfortable
in their home and the key to comfort in your home is air movement. I really enjoy
offering home comfort solutions to help people make their personal space more
comfortable.
The forth factor it’s a lot of
fun meeting new people. I have lived in both urban and rural areas which helps
me relate to a variety of customer backgrounds and needs. It is my goal to combine my range of
experience with my compassion, enthusiasm, and intelligence to make a positive
contribution to our society.
As a home comfort advisor, I ensure that
a residential property is comfortable for its homeowner. My main focuses are on
heating and cooling issues and will take a number of things into consideration
when advising homeowner on how to optimize the comfort levels of their home.
Heating and cooling systems are large energy guzzlers, so the home comfort
advisor (ME) will ensure the Furnace, AC, Heat Pump or Boiler run optimally
without costing you an arm and a leg each month.
